Though a tad behind schedule, the first issue of the Lukes Laner, and what we hope will be a regular community newspaper, covering local events, courses on offer and any other news of interest to residents, came out in mid-July. Copies were posted through every letter box on Lukes Lane estate and also left in local libraries.The first issue is only four pages, but we do intend to increase its size in future issues, and this is where you, the residents, help out. If you have any special news you’d like to share with your community — whether it be births, an anniversary, an achievement — then get in touch and let us know. Even give us your photos.
Again, if you have any ideas as to what we could include in future, even suggestions as to how it could be improved, then please get in touch and help make this a real community newspaper.
